Process Engineer

Critical to the successful operation of the Akron Plant, we are searching for a passionate person to join our Plant Engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Leader, the role will be full-time, exempt and physically located at our plant located in Akron, OH.Alterra Energy is an equal opportunity employer. Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong safety mindse
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Adaptable to a fast paced, changing environment; ability to assess and prioritize work quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Highly innovative and creative
  • Familiar with AutoCAD
  • Ability to handle complex projects and responsibilities independently

Education and Experience:

Required:
  1. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; or a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with process experience
  2. Strong understanding of the fundamental requirements of process engineering, and basic understanding of other relevant engineering fields
  3. General knowledge of manufacturing plant operations and maintenance
  4. A basic understanding of industry standards, specifications, codes, and regulations.
